When you invest with BRXS, you purchase notes (bonds) in an available property of your choice. These notes entitle you to fixed interest payments during the holding period of that property and the repayment of the nominal value at the end of the term. Additionally, you may receive potential bonus interest, which includes Rental Surplus Bonus Interest during the term and Appreciation Surplus Bonus Interest from potential profits when that property is sold at maturity.
What returns can I expect from a BRXS investment?
The return on an investment in BRXS notes for a given property includes a fixed interest and a potential bonus interest. The annual interest rate is fixed based on the net rent at the initial offering and is paid quarterly. The potential bonus interest includes Rental Surplus Bonus Interest during the term and Appreciation Surplus Bonus Interest from potential profits when the property is sold at maturity.
How long do I have to keep my notes?
The maturity periods for BRXS Properties notes vary, generally ranging from 5 to 15 years. When you invest you commit for the full holding period. If you need interim liquidity, you can list your notes on a peer-to-peer Bulletin Board, though liquidity is not guaranteed.
How does BRXS make money?
Opening and maintaining a BRXS Properties account is free. BRXS Properties makes money through offering fees (included in the initial investment to cover acquisition and preparation costs), management fees (automatically deducted from rental income for property management) and transaction fees (when you sell your investment).
How is BRXS different from crowdfunding?
BRXS notes is not real estate crowdfunding, fractional ownership, or shares. You invest in real estate-backed notes on specific properties. Your investment is used to (re)finance the property that we acquire, own and manage, and you have a security right on the property in which you hold notes.
